Boucherouite carpets are original pieces born from recycling. The weavers use rags, clothes and all the textiles they find, and assemble them to make these creative masterpieces. The name Boucherouite (pronounced "boo-shay-reet”) is derived from a Moroccan-Arabic word that means a "scrap" because it is made from excess yarn and recycled carpets. The result is an extravagant rug that is bright, vibrant, and quite often textured.
